Now, for Something Different...

The theme for this year's WIT event is "Lift and Climb" - the idea comes from the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs' agenda back in 1896. They described their activities of self-improvement, advocacy, and community support as "Lifting While We Climb" and since 1896 the phrase and ethos has seen renewed interest and emphasis, particularly involving women's professional ascent.

The evening will feature a keynote speaker, and then attendees will circulate and have conversations with women from across the tech industry as well as supporting organizations. Our hope is to provide the opportunity for our guests to learn from those who have climbed the ladder in STEM and want to help others make the climb themselves.
